This is Melody; she came home from Branson with us several years ago. She had been shot with a 22-caliber rifle, and abused on a construction site, yet she has managed to make a wonderful pet. She's starting to get accustomed to her new "little sister" (our dog Gracie), but she knows she will always be the queen in my house.
Melody was my constant companion during my recovery from heart and cancer surgery. I had always heard that cats are not people animals. This cat took care of me. She talks with her eyes and her expressions and is the most loving animal I've ever been around.
This is Gracie Key, our 6-month old shitzu puppy. She came home with us from our Key West vacation. Unlike Melody, she came from a pet shop and was not a rescue anumal. Gracie has been a joy to have as a new member of our family. She loves to run and play in the yard, and she takes me on walks everyday!

They are Norwich terriers. MY babies! Sparky is 12 and Gaby will be 13 Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, she tore an ACL a couple of weeks ago and is not a good candidate for surgery. She on doggie Celebrex & doggie Loretabs. Doing pretty good at the moment.
Bandman's, Melody's twin sister, she isn't as talented, she can't play the piano, but she's a good mouser
I had never heard of a Norwich Terrier, and being a dog lover I looked them up on the AKC site. Your two beautiful puppies are much prettier than the ones shown on the AKC site. Then I went to the Norwhich and Norfolk Terrier sites, and once agains, your dogs are much prettier than the ones on the site.
After doing the research (looking at two sites)I'm ready to proclaim that you have the two most beautiful Norwich Terriers in the world!!!
I found it interesting that they were bred to follow people on horseback, and they are active dogs! Thanks for posting your pictures -- I found them to be beautiful and it made me go look into the history of a breed I didn't know about!
WOW Dave! You again impress me!!! Norwich Terriers are kind of difficult to find. I fell in love with them over 18 years ago when I was researching breeds trying to decide what we wanted. Then when I decided it took me forever to find one available. I'm told that litters are usually only 2 pups & that they sometimes don't whelp well. These are most definitely "pet quality" dogs. My girl is so not the standard look of the breed that I wonder what she actually comes from. My boy is pretty perfect, except that he is missing a tooth lower front. I got both only with the agreement that they would be spayed & neutered so as not to reproduce bad qualities into the breed. Typically they have wire coats & when groomed have to be stripped (plucked). We just shear them & their coats have become soft & fluffy! They are not at all yippy dogs, are extremely loving & loyal, but are spirited!
There is also a breed called the Norfolk Terrier, and their ears are folded over. The Norwich has prick ears that stand up. The Norwich actually won Westminster a few years back. They are an AWESOME dog IF you can find one!
Thanks for the comments!
