Beaches at Royal Islander, Caribbean, Mayan

Can anyone provide a recent photo or some feedback on the current state of the beaches in front of the Royal Resorts? (Islander, Caribbean, and Mayan) I'm moments away from booking a trip there in February and want to know what to expect. I think it's been 5 years since I last went to Cancun and know the hurricane had a great impact on the beach. I've heard the beaches are better at the Sands and want as much information as possible before I decide which place to visit. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!! (BTW, it will be my wife's first time there and I don't want to disappoint as I've been pumping Cancun as the greatest place on earth)

Weylon try www.cancunbeachconditios.com if you go to Tim's other board a lot more people post on it so you will get first hand info www.cancunmx.com...hope this helps

My friend is at the Royals now and will be back Saturday night...will let you know on Sunday but from what I have heard they are not great like they were prior to Wilma

Was there with friends in Nov, the beach kind of disappears as the afternoon went on. Lovely resort, not so lovely beach, if that's what your wife is wishing for.

I'll be at the Royal Sands from the 9th to the 16th. Woo-hoo. Can't Wait!
