well, what with caring for Mom the last few years, i haven't been able to be much of a host. i'll still be going home 3 days a week to be around for my brother, and get things organized at Mom's house. the other half day i gain a week is going to spent on me, not my sites. i don't think anyone here will begrudge me that.

i am doing some things to try to get people here to talk about their trips, but if there isn't more interaction with those who do post trip reports........ tim

If only more folks would be asking questions. Us regs are here, but unless there's a question or report, there's not much to talk about.

and I usually find good stuff to read! Like right now--Skip and Judy's trip report as I sit here in cold New York!!!

I have a new position at work and I just don't have the time to post as much as I did in the past. I still check in almost everyday, but it's mainly to check on the activites of the friends I've made here.

I post on several boards, some travel and some music related, and I notice that all of them are slower than they were in the past. I blame this on my space and other boards like that. They have taken much of the traffic away from many boards.

One more thing is that we don't travel as much to the Riviera Maya as we did in the past. It was two times a year for us for many years, but now we have started going other places. This year we went to, Key West, Orlando, Big Cedar in Missouri, and have trips planned to Williamsburg/Washington, and then finally to Cancun this summer. In the past couple of years we have done Alaska, los Cabos, and Hawaii insteat of Cancun. Since this is a Cancun board we don't post all our trip reports because they just don't have anything to do with the topic of the board.

I do agree that Myspace and other message boards are taking up much of our time. I totally agree. We didn't have all the web photo storage either. Now you can just send a link to your friends with the captions right on them. I met some dear friends here that we still travel with. My husband took up scuba diving about 5 years ago. We would stay in Cancun then he would ferry over to Cozumel. We having been staying in Cozumel the last 2 years to cut out the ferry time. It does saver time and money but I miss my Cancun. I rather like the excitement of the clubs, shopping and many dining choices. I love that cheap bus service too. After he dives every single reef I might be able to stay in Cancun again.
