Freedom Paradise is located on Tankah Bay. They were open during our last trip, but I didn't see a lot of activity from the highway - just a couple of guards at the gate.

It would be interesting to see how well this marketing strategy will play out. They are certainly advertising aggressively.

This Autumn saw two Clothing Optional resorts emerge along with Freedom Paradise, catering to larger clientele. Plus, the Allure resort near Tulum is going timeshare. All sorts of properties experimenting in attempts to raise occupancy rates.

They were up and running - but not done with all renovations when I visited in June.

They are also handicapped friendly - with larger doorways, etc. We saw a few people in wheelchairs while we were there.

They've got an interesting concept - nice property, and a nice beach. Only time will tell if they'll be successful.

Let's be honest.........all of us who are.....shall we say..... a little older and larger....... feel a bit uncomfortable the very first day at a resort, but after the first day we all say "what the heck" and we don't worry after that (maybe I'm speaking for myself). To be honest, I also think that we all -- yessssssss ALL, anjoy the views offered at a normal resort.

My friends tell me that I am the most maried man in America, but we all enjoy a pretty lady or handsome guy walking by. I think that some people might go for this new concept, but in the end, I that this marketing tool will be short lived.

Just my opinion.....but it's an honest one.

Yeah, we all enjoy watching the scenery, even old guys like me, and at this resort, there will be SOOOOO much more to watch. Boggles the mind, doesn't it.

you need to start a diet to go to a "PLUS SIZE" RESORT! but this PLUS SIZE does NOT mean plus the size of YOUR KING SIZE bed, as they provide them for those of us who require them because we can't fit comfortably into anything less.

i don't think your SIZE ONES are considered PLUS sizes. although, i guess one does NOT have to actually be a PLUS SIZE to stay at this resort.

but PLEASE DO NOT say that YOU are going to start a diet to go to a place like this! (and mean what you are saying)
