We went to the Iberostar Paraiso in Riviera Maya last year and - we do not have children - but I did notice there were a lot of activities for the children going on at different points of our week. They even had children's entertainment in the evening after dinner before the dinner shows began. The Iberostar had a GREAT pool and a nice beach. Food was not all that great for us though but I know a lot of other posters have had great experiences.

We've been to Pt. Vallarta and love it also but the water in Cancun and R.Maya is much, much nicer (bluer).

We went to the Iberostar Paraiso in Dec. with our 2 kids ages 7 and 10. They absolutely loved it. The kids club was great. There were many activities for them to do and the women running it were so nice and caring. My daughter actually emails with them she loved them so much. The resort itself was beautiful.
