Today was his last day at work. He has earned the reward. He has grabbed the prize. We now have time for all those things we never had time for when he was working...like lots of FUN!!! lol..ok, we have ALWAYS had fun, but now we can play with no one telling us when we have to stop.YIPPEEE SKIPPYYYYYY! Tomorrow is the 4th of July. Steve's first day of freedom. Gives new meaning to Independance day..I love that!! Anyway, just had to share this with my friends here. As you can imagine, we are pretty darn excited! More time to spend in paradise now!@ ;-)
Happy 4th everyone. It will be the best ever for us.
Congrats to Steve on his retirement! May he enjoy it a long, LONG time!

Well, we are going to be down there from the first of November till the 22nd of FEbruary...can you find time somewhere in there? lol...;-)
BTW, Steve retired from UPS and it is going to be so wierd...he has worked 12 hour days forever, plus the commute. It was a hard job and yet he did it with a work ethic and was looked up
and respected by everyone in that company who knew him. He has done himself (and ME) proud! It was an awesome thing to stand there by his side while he got his kudos and congrats. The Washington St. Senator, Maria Cantwell was there and participated in giving him his retirement plaque...does it sound like I am proud?? lol..I Am!! We made it!!!!!! And we will do well together. It will be the biggest adjustment yet, but nothing really worth having comes easy, does it?
Anyway, let me know when you will be there!!
I am really looking forward to the day when I can say goodbye to the workworld forever!
Unbelievably, though, I've been with the same company for 18 years, which seems like soooo long, but I'm looking at almost exactly that many years before I can retire, unless I win the lottery. (I knew I should've joined the Air Force!) I guess I'm at my "half-life"...sigh
